Linea Verde Italia stops at the Tenuta del Cigno farm: Ermes tells us about balsamic vinegar.

Welcomed by Hermes, the crew of the Rai broadcast “Green Line Italy” He crossed the threshold of our farm to visit its spaces and talk about our beautiful Modena, on the occasion of an entire episode dedicated to our territory that will be broadcast Saturday March 28 at 12:20 on Rai 1 and RaiPlay. The program, hosted by Monica Caradonna and Tinto, explore Italy in the name of sustainability and innovation.

It was incredibly moving to see the cameras roam the estate, particularly among the barrels of our ancient vinegar cellars. Modena will be the undisputed star of an episode entirely dedicated to the region's finest products, and we couldn't miss it.

An exceptional guide: Ermes and the allure of the series of barrels that house the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP.

He could only be there to welcome the journalists and Rai technicians, Ermes Rewards Programme Malpighi, fourth generation of Malpighi Acetaia, master taster and one of the founding members of the Consortium in 1979. With his contagious smile and that “gift of the gab” that mixes ancient wisdom and irony, he literally enchanted and won over everyone present.

Ermes, like a skilled leader, led the Rai crew into the beating heart of the estate, right into our ancient vinegar factories, where the series of barrels holding the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP are located. Amid the intense aroma of cooked must and the silence that reigns in these spaces, Ermes shared curious anecdotes and secrets of the ancient tradition of the Malpighi family, making the visit a true journey through time.

The crew was fascinated by the mastery with which we care for this “black gold” every day, keeping alive roots that reach back centuries of history.

A taste of history: the 1850 barrel

The most magical moment?
Definitely the end of the filming. To celebrate the meeting, Ermes offered visitors a special tasting, taking the product, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP, directly from a truly special barrel: that started in 1850 by Pietro Malpighi, the founder who began the Malpighi family's long adventure in the world of balsamic vinegar.

Tasting that product, steeped in history and passion, was a moment of pure silence and wonder for everyone present.

Curious to see some behind the scenes? Below you will find some pictures of the day!

It was a truly special afternoon, which once again confirmed that nature, passion, and respect for tradition are the winning recipe!

The television episode aired on Saturday, March 28, on Rai 1 and is dedicated to Modena and its architectural, artistic, and cultural beauties, to the figure of the great and unforgettable Luciano Pavarotti, and to the city's food and wine excellences, including our Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP, as told by Ermes Malpighi.

We look forward to seeing you at Tenuta to experience the same magic that enchanted Rai.
