Book your free visit during Wefood

On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March, our farm will host the spring edition of Wefood, the Festival dedicated to Italy's food and wine excellence.

visit ancient vinegar factories

On the occasion of Wefood , the weekend in the factories of taste dedicated to excellent food and wine companies, we are opening the doors of our farm free of charge: on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March we will welcome visitors into the nature of our vineyards, our lavender field and the magical atmosphere of the ancient vinegar factories where the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena matures.

The visitors, welcomed by Ermes Malpighi, fourth generation of the historic Maison of Balsamic Vinegar, will be able to walk through the spaces of our farm, including the vineyards where we grow the grapes for the production of must, the sole and only ingredient of the precious Black Gold, to then discover the ancient vinegar factories where the magic happens: the cooked must is sent to the fermentation, maturation and ageing process inside the batteries of barrels of the oldest woods (chestnut, cherry, juniper, mulberry, oak, acacia) found in the vinegar factories.

The tour is then enriched with the exhibition of the collection of historical objects and documents relating to the family tradition in the production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP and continues with a visit to the Lavender field, where the first and only one is grown. Lavender from Modena®, to beehives for the cultivation of Organic Honey, Swan Lake, and the French-style herb garden. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a vertical tasting of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PDO and the Collection's most representative products, including: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, Flavored Dressings, Light Dressings, and Dark Dressings.

Ermes will take attendees on a sensory journey to discover the flavors and aromas of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP, explaining their production methods. Following the educational presentation, he will lead a guided tasting of all the products in the Collection.

Wefood is promoted by ItalyPost in partnership with Lattebusche.

The visit proposed during Wefood will last approximately an hour and a half and can be booked:

  • Saturday 16 March at 15
  • Sunday 17 March at 11pm
