La city ​​of Modena (Modena), founded in 183 BC along the Via Emilia, in the Po Valley of northern Italy, is located in the center of Emilia-Romagna. Its strategic location makes it easily accessible from the main Italian cities.
It borders to the north with the province of Mantua (Lombardy), to the east with the province of Ferrara and the metropolitan city of Bologna, to the south with the provinces of Lucca and Pistoia (Tuscany) and to the west with the province of Reggio Emilia.
